LOCATION
In the south-east of Saradié you can find the pretty sight of the Sun Clan! The Sun Clan is a peaceful and open-minded clan, located in the open plains. The grass is slightly yellowed and there are hardly any trees around. This makes the land perfect for keeping animals and setting up farms. There are a lot of high hills and small mountains, where sacred artifacts for the goddess are displaced at the top.

GODS
The Sun Clan believes in only one God, the Goddess of the Sun named Aditya. The Sun Clan believes Aditya is the sun, shining her protective rays of light onto everyone that lives, even if they are not part of the Sun Clan. Aditya is portrayed as a blank faced Raqion, with four arms and two tails. Her legs aren’t visible since they go up in light. No one really knows what she looks like and some Raqions see her differently than others. Aditya is known to be kind, respectful and forgiving.

SACRED PLACES
Only Sun Clan members can enter the Cavern of the Sun, to ask for forgiveness of their sins, ask for advice, pray or simply just seek cover. Outsiders are strictly forbidden, and war will be declared to the clan who disturbed the sacredness off the Cavern. When going to the Cavern, you must always bring a sacrifice, the greatness of the sacrifice enhances the chance of Apricitas hearing and listening to you. After paying a visit to the Cavern of the Sun, visitors will receive a vague dream. This dream will tell them if they are heard or not and whether Aditya will help them or not. In this dream a Raqion made of light will visit them in their dream, disguised as a loved one. Scattered all around the territory there are artifacts to be found. These are mostly made of yellow crystal and marble. These artifacts can be traced back to thousands of years and are not to be touched or removed. Touching the artifacts or removing them will result in a death sentence.

FESTIVALS AND CELEBRATIONS
The Sun Clan has two major festivals. The New Sun festival and the Submerging. The New Sun Festival is to celebrate a new sun being born. It is believed at the end of every year a new sun will rise the next morning, and the old one will rest somewhere in the galaxy. The festival lasts four days and three nights. During those days the Raqion of the Sun Clan will celebrate, eat a ton of festival related dishes and sing special songs for three days and nights. During the first three nights no one sleeps, except the ones younger than fifteen. The last day will be in total silence, no word to be spoken. This is to honor the last day the sun will shine before the new one takes their place. Everyone stays outside for those 4 whole days, either sleeping during the day or enjoying the warmth of the last rays of sun. After the sun has set, life goes back to normal.​

The Submerging is a celebration in which the young ones become a part of the clan, and that they get to know their role in the Clan. This happens once in six months, to every young one of the age of thirteen. This will be celebrated with a ritual, which involves painting bright yellow and orange markings over the bodies of the young ones, flowers, lots of sweet dishes, a dance and a huge campfire. The Leader will choose the role of the young ones, by judging their training and appearance (The young ones get training from ages five to thirteen which teaches them the basics of fighting, farming, healing and hunting.). This event starts at sunset and lasts one night, until the sun rises again.

MARRIAGE
When Sun Clan Members turn 20, they will be allowed to permanently connect themselves with another clan member through what the humans call "marriage". This will result in two Raqions that feel attraction towards one another visit one of the sacred artifacts scattered around their territory. They will stay there for the night and sleep in the soft light of the amber stone filtering the moonlight. If this ritual has been done, there is no reversing or splitting up and the two Raqions are obligated to stay together until one of the two dies. The ritual is called Sun Bonding and two Raqions that did this will be Bonded. Raqions from the Sun Clan that aren't Bonded even when they turn 25 will be assigned a partner by the Clan Leader.

LEADER CHOOSING
A new Leader is chosen by the old Leader. If the Leader is killed and didn’t decide yet, the Leadership will be passed on to the General. When a Leader is chosen and it’s time to take their place, they must go on a special trial around all the territory possessed by the Sun Clan, going around all structures that have been built for Aditya, until they reach the sacred Cavern of the Sun. The Cavern of the Sun is a cavern in which a huge yellow crystal is located. When the sun is at it’s all highest point (which only happens once a year) the sunlight will be reflected onto the crystal lighting the cavern up in mesmerizing patterns, the crystal will become extremely hot. The new leader must put their hands on the crystal, this will cause it to burn. If the new leader can keep their hand on the crystal for ten seconds without pulling them away, they will be the new leader. If not, a new leader shall be chosen and must go through the same trial. The one that failed the trial will be banned from the clan and will lose the protection of Aditya. The banned Raqion will probably be killed by disease, hunger, wild animals or other clans. The trial is called Aditya’s Choice.

SIGNATURE DISHES
The Sun Clan has some interesting signature dishes, which are mostly eaten during festivals. During normal days the diet of a Raqion in the Sun Clan contains fruit, vegetables, animal products from kettle and mushrooms. Most dishes in the Sun Clan are vegetarian, since butchering kettle for meat is unusual and only old, sick or injured kettle gets butchered for festivals, fish is the main source of protein. A common substitute for meat is Cibum Plant, which literally translates to Meat Plant, which is an edible succulent that tastes sightly gamey and bland without seasoning and has a raw pork like texture.
DISHES
- Normal breakfast: Porridge made from orange root, milk, spices and sugar beets. Simple corn flat bread with vegetable spread, made from spinach, oats, cream and herbs.
- Normal lunch: Various local fruits in a lettuce salad with egg yolk and herbs dressing. Variations of the salad can be made with vegetables, but it's mostly eaten with fruits.
- Normal dinner: Fire roasted fish with herbs and spices, mashed oca or seasoned rice and boiled in season vegetables. Fried eggs with onion, orange root, corn and herbs, rice and a sweet salty sauce. Cabage rolls.

AGRICULTURE
The Sun Clan has excelled in farming despite the rough and dry environment of their territory. The farms of the Sun Clan are located in caverns that are either next to or under lakes or connected to a stream coming from the mountains. These underground caves are illuminated by hundreds of bioluminescent crystals called Sun Crystals, who’s light has the same properties as sunlight allowing crops and trees to grown underground. These caverns are foreseen of water from either molten snow coming down from the mountains or water that comes from the lakes above or next to it that come down into the caverns like waterfalls. There’s natural soil in the caverns that are rich and full of minerals, perfect for growing crops and trees.
The Sun Clan also hold kettle, mostly (goats and chickens). These are used for their milk and eggs, and with festivals for their meat.

Weapons and fighting
The Sun Clan mainly uses bow and arrow and spears in battle and for hunting. The arrows are made from Amber Stone and sharp as broken glass. Sometimes the tips get dunked into a sticky oil like substance that’s easy to set on fire and stays lit for over 50 minutes. Fighters that use the bow are called Rays, since when the arrows are fired whilst lit, they look like shooting rays of light. The spears have tips made of the same Amber Stone as the arrows and can also be lit on fire by the oil. The spears are used for close combat and the Fighters are trained to be able to use these spears to effectively, quickly and painlessly take out targets with quick hits and stabs. Both sides of the spears are used during battle, one with a sharp Amber Stone head and one with a bigger, bit more heavy Amber Stone sphere. This sphere is used to quickly hit targets bringing them out of balance. Fighters that use the spear are called Dancers, because in order to be quick with a larger weapon they need to perform a set of specific moves which comes close to preforming a dance routine.
There are only two Raqions in the Sun Clan that use something else than bow and arrow or the spears. Those are the Leader and the General. They both have a sword. These are passed on to every new Leader and General and are also made of Amber Stone, with marble and gold put into the design. Sun Clan Raqions are known for their speed and agility in battle and are strongest in big open spaces like their territory and weakest in small spaces or spaces with a lot of high obstacles like trees.

Ranks
All Raqions starting out in the Sun Clan under the age of 18 will be Rookies or Young Ones. Young ones are Raqions from age 0 till 13 that haven’t started a training yet, Rookies are Raqions from age 7 till 17 who are in training with an older Raqion in a specific profession. All Raqions above the age of 17 can choose a profession to be a part off, only the Shaman and General CAN’T be picked. The leader will choose a General and a Shaman, it cannot be chosen by ANYONE else

Clan Leader: The leader of the clan (of course), controls and rules the clan, makes decisions.
General: The rank underneath Leader. Helps the Leader make decisions, controls the training of the young ones.
Basic Clan Member: they are normal clan members with no special ranking or power over others.
Young Ones: Children under the age of 13, they are not considered a part of the clan yet.
Hounds: These are the hunters; they hunt food for the clan.
Defenders: These are the soldiers, they fight for and protect the clan.
Green Handed: These are the farmers, they farm and take care of the life stock.
Shaman: The healer, there is only one until they pass away. They heal hurt clan members. They are known to stand in direct contact with the gods and they preform rituals.
Rookies: These are the interns, from age 7 till age 17. They help and learn from experienced Raqions to someday take over their job or join them.
